Well, the first week of the site launch in Florida is over and all has gone well. The guys who are up from Panama, El Salvador, and Round Rock are all awesome.
Other good stuff – I’ve been talking to Robert ever few days and I cannot WAIT to get to go see him as well as my mom, grandmother, and stepdad.
Last but not least, there’s some guy on Wolf Blitzer’s show who says that the Bush administration is kissing the ass of the conservative religious right with one side of it face but snearing and snickering at it with the other. Can you say “Duuuuh!!!” on this one? What about Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and ALL the different generations of the Bushes (Senior, Dubya Junior, or the Bush girls who are somewhere between the Ritchie/Hilton duo and a Girls Gone Wild video) that even _remotely_ resembled anything at ALL Christian? Anyone who believes that these people are “Christian” has no idea about what that Jesus dude was all about. If you’ll look back and actually READ what he said, you’d see that he was all about “turn the other cheek” and “love thy neighbor” and I haven’t seen anything remotely close to that comin’ out of Washington lately.
Goin’ to Florida

Well, this weekend I’m leaving home for five whole weeks to go to Tampa, Florida for a business trip. At the end of this trip, I will have been away from home for a total of 4 1/2 months this year. I used to love the idea of going on business trips but now that I’ve got custody of my 4 year old son, have a house that I love, Carrie and I are married, and I’m playing in a kick-ass funk band I really _HATE_ the thought of being away – especially for such a long time. On top of it all, my last few days here my wife has to be out of town herself. Granted, it’s only in Sun Valley at a fancy-schmancy resort for a conference for special education professionals but it’s still NOT at home. I’m already looking forwarding to getting back home and I haven’t even left yet… But at least while I’m down there I’ll get to visit my son Robert as well as my mom and grandmother in Alabama.
